Description
The Branch Connector is used for connecting three panels in parallel to form a solar array.
By doing so, you will keep the voltage of the solar array equal to the voltage of the standalone solar panel while the total current of the solar array will be equal to the sum of the currents of the standalone solar panels.
Suitable for 12V solar panels.
Very easy to use and install.
Check if the short circuit current of the solar array (Isc) is less than 1.56 times the rated current of the branch connector, which is 30A, for solar panels designated for higher system voltage than 12V,i.e Isc ≤ 1.56*( Isc_sp1+Isc_sp2+Isc_sp3)
where Isc_sp1,Isc_sp2,Isc_sp3 are the short circuit currents of the standalone solar panels connected in parallel.
If you don’t know the short circuit current of the solar panel you can approximate it by taking optimum operating current Imp and multiplying it by 1.1 , i. e Isc=1.1*Imp
These connectors have high aging resistance and UV endurance, making them weather-proof and able to withstand harsh environments. A rivet and lock are used to connect the cable and no extra tools are required for assembly or disassembly of plugs.
